"and I am re-begot
Of absence, darkness, death; things which are not"

John Donne A Nocturnal Upon St Lucy's Day

Spouse of the lovely feyeleanor, Parent of anisotropica and now with New! Added! Tomty, possibly "the most unphotogenic person on the planet" working in a children's library located in a primary school and children's centre wondering why children can't read anymore. I used to love costuming and kentwell, but because of New! Added! Tomty I don't really have time for the costuming bit anymore. Mostly because banana stains aren't authentically Tudor.
Fond of chocolate and power tools, arch procrastinator, Sith Bunny.
If I friend you, it's probably because you share an interest in costuming or have recently acquired cute kittens or some other small furry thing and have been posting irresistible pictures of it. Please don't feel you have to friend me back.
I don't comment much on other people's journals. This doesn't mean that I don't like you, or that I'm not interested in you, and it's certainly not out of rudeness. If you're on my flist, it's very likely that I'm interested in your life and want to keep up with your doings be they big or small. I've just been far too busy trying to get the banana stains out. I'm still listening to you and I still care, even if I'm a bit quiet at the moment.

I WONDER by my troth, what thou and I
Did, till we loved ? were we not wean'd till then ?
But suck'd on country pleasures, childishly ?
Or snorted we in the Seven Sleepers' den ?
'Twas so ; but this, all pleasures fancies be ;
If ever any beauty I did see,
Which I desired, and got, 'twas but a dream of thee.

And now good-morrow to our waking souls,
Which watch not one another out of fear ;
For love all love of other sights controls,
And makes one little room an everywhere.
Let sea-discoverers to new worlds have gone ;
Let maps to other, worlds on worlds have shown ;
Let us possess one world ; each hath one, and is one.

My face in thine eye, thine in mine appears,
And true plain hearts do in the faces rest ;
Where can we find two better hemispheres
Without sharp north, without declining west ?
Whatever dies, was not mix'd equally ;
If our two loves be one, or thou and I
Love so alike that none can slacken, none can die.
John Donne The Good Morrow
